Terms & Conditions

Effective date: August 30, 2026 · Applies to HAR Analyzer AI (Chrome extension)

Short version: HAR Analyzer AI is provided as-is for local debugging and analysis. You are responsible for the data you load, how you use the results, and for complying with laws and third-party terms that apply to your traffic and systems.

1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using HAR Analyzer AI (the “Extension”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to the separate Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of the service

The Extension provides local tools to parse and analyze HAR files and optional live network captures, surface deterministic findings, export reports, and—when available—use Chrome’s on-device AI for explanatory text. It is a developer utility, not a hosted SaaS product and not a substitute for professional security audits, legal advice, or production monitoring systems.

3. License to use

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Extension for your internal purposes on devices you control. You may not:

Reverse engineer the Extension except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
Misrepresent the Extension as your own product;
Use the Extension to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right;
Attempt to circumvent technical limitations of the Chrome platform or the Extension.

4. Your responsibilities

Data you analyze. HAR files and live captures can contain personal data, credentials, cookies, and business-confidential information. You are solely responsible for obtaining any rights and consents needed to capture, store, and process that data.
Secrets. Do not treat export files (HAR, reports, Postman/OpenAPI collections) as automatically redacted. Review before sharing.
Live Capture. Recording network traffic from a page you inspect is under your control; use it only on systems and accounts you are authorized to debug.
Compliance. You must comply with applicable privacy, employment, and computer-access laws in your jurisdiction.

5. AI-generated output

Optional AI explanations are generated on-device from pre-computed findings. They may be incomplete, incorrect, or outdated. You must verify recommendations before applying them to production systems. AI output is not professional advice (legal, security, or otherwise).

6. No warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that findings are exhaustive or that scores, detectors, or exports will meet your requirements.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE AUTHORS AND DISTRIBUTORS OF THE EXTENSION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE EXTENSION—EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE EXTENSION SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID (IF ANY) TO OBTAIN IT, OR ZERO IF IT WAS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

8. Third-party components and platform

The Extension runs inside Google Chrome (or a compatible Chromium browser) and may use Chrome APIs, including optional on-device AI features. Those platforms are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for browser updates, API changes, or model availability.

9. Updates and availability

We may update, modify, or discontinue the Extension at any time. Updates may change detectors, UI, or storage behavior. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms if they are posted with the new version.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate the license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Extension’s publisher is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
